Everyone wants their home to have a pleasing aroma. Plus, it can influence the mood, make you feel relaxed, calm, angry, or sad. It all depends on the type of fragrance you use. Therefore, you shouldn’t let your home smell unpleasant.

If you do, your guests will feel uncomfortable and in a bad mood. But, how can you achieve this? Well, everyone uses air fresheners they can buy from stores. Even if these air fresheners make the air clean and refreshing, they aren’t unique.

Everyone has them. So, the best way to impress your neighbors is to use something they haven’t tried before. Therefore, avoid all the chemicals, and turn to a cheaper and easier solution. This way you will save money.

Home Made Air Freshener

To make this air freshener, get an 8oz spray bottle. However, if you want a more powerful smell, feel free to double or triple the recipe ingredients. Here is what you will need to make your own air freshener.

Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 cups of water
  • two tablespoons of either rubbing alcohols, vodka, or vanilla extract
  • five drops of chamomile essential oil
  • ten drops of lavender essential oil

Instructions

To make your own air freshener, add all the ingredients to an 8oz spray bottle and shake them well. Now your freshener is ready to use.

Fabric Softener

Of course, the air freshener is not the only thing that can impress your neighbors. That is why you should make your own fabric softener too. Here is what you will need to make this at home.

Ingredients

Instructions

Get a large bowl and pour the vinegar into it. Add the lavender essential oil and your baking soda. After the fizz settles, pour all the ingredients in a container of your choice. Feel free to transfer it to your used fabric softener container.

Now your fabric softener is ready to use.

Note: Don’t worry about the oil. After you add the baking soda, the oil that sits on top of the vinegar will start to dissolve. So, after a short time, it will completely disappear. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about any spots that might appear on your clothes.
