By consuming breakfast each day, they had improved immediate recall in short-term memory. Plus, another study stated that eating oatmeal for breakfast can improve spatial abilities and short-term memory in small children.

Ingredients
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped onions
  • 3/4 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of dry steel cut oats (quick for cooking)
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of thinly sliced red peppers
  • 2 or more tablespoons of shredded white cheddar cheese (add more to taste)

Instructions

Bring the water to a boil and add the oatmeal. Now, reduce the heat and let it cook for 3 minutes. After all the liquid is gone, turn the heat off and add the cheese. Make sure you stir everything well. Next, add the salt and pepper.

Note: You can also prepare this meal in the microwave. To do so, place the oats in the microwave and let it cook on medium power with a one-minute interval for a duration of 3 minutes. If you want to cook them more, feel free to do so.

When the oatmeal is prepared, add the cheese, salt, and pepper.

  • a tablespoon of Sunbutter
  • half a sliced banana
  • half a teaspoon of chia seeds
  • a slice of whole wheat bread
Instructions

All you have to do is spread the Sunbutter over the bread and add the banana slices. Lastly, top it off with some chia seeds. Enjoy!
