Everyone knows that lemons are a great source of vitamin C. But, that is not the only thing they are good for. Lemons can be highly beneficial for the skin as well. They can lighten and clear the skin from blemishes.

So, you don’t have to throw away the lemon peels after squeezing out the lemon juice, instead use them to make your skin look beautiful. Therefore, dry the peels in the sun and grind them into a powder.

This powder can be exceptionally wonderful for your skin.

Even though there are countless effective face masks today, it is not necessary to spend a fortune on them. The reason behind this is because these face masks contain some of the ingredients that you already have in your kitchen.

So, why not make your own beauty product?

Besides, you will know what you are putting on your face, and you will be certain that it is healthy without any unnecessary chemicals. So, without further ado, here is how you can make your own lemon face mask to make your skin look more gorgeous than ever.

The Benefits of the Ingredients

For an exceptionally moisturized and healthy skin, you will need milk and lemon. Milk can help make the scars be less visible because of the malic and lactic acid it contains. While the lemon will help bleach the skin and reduce acne.

By exfoliating the skin with all the antioxidants, vitamins and antibacterial properties that the lemon contains, you can make your skin more healthy and clean. Moreover, by using gram flour or besan, you can even out the skin tone and cleanse the skin even further.

But, it will all be useless if you don’t use Multani Mitti since it can absorb all the dirt and excess oil from the face.

Furthermore, you should be adding some turmeric paste or powder if you like. It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which can speed up the healing process on your skin.

Important Things to Remember

  • After you apply the paste, don’t let it dry, remove it when it begins to dry.
  • Stinginess is normal for a sensitive skin.
  • Essential oils are optional.
  • Use the mask 3 times per week.
  • Add honey if you have an extremely dry skin.
Ingredients
  • lemon zest
  • besan
  • raw milk
  • Multani mitti
  • turmeric powder (optional)
Instructions

Start by grating 1 lemon until you get to the white part of the peel. Next, cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice. After that, add 1 teaspoon of both besan and Multani mitti along with a teaspoon of turmeric to the lemon juice.

Add milk slowly, but be careful not to get a thick consistency. After your paste is ready, wash your face and wait for 15 minutes before you apply the mask. Steam your face for 10 minutes to open the pores well.

Apply the mask evenly in circular motions and after 20 minutes, or when it starts to dry, wash it off. At the end apply some moisturizer. Finally, your pores can look cleaner and smoother, and you might be able to be free of acne.

Besides, it is an oil-free mask.
