Keep Fleas Away from Your Pets by Using Apple Cider Vinegar

Prevent Fleas with Apple Cider Vinegar

This might seem funny, but don’t pour an entire bottle of apple cider vinegar over your pet. It will not work. Instead, you should use it in baths, drinking water or as a spray. If you want to use this vinegar in baths, try using a diluted solution.

To begin, start by adding 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to the bath water and thoroughly scrub your pet with it. In the end, you will see your tub flood with dead fleas.

This can be a great way to prevent fleas. Another useful solution could be adding a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to a quart of drinking water. However, your dog won’t like it at first. That is why you should start adding a little vinegar at a time.

Flea Comb

Here is a recipe that can help with fleas. It contains a natural chemical called limonene which is highly dangerous for fleas, but not toxic to animals.

Ingredients
  • water
  • sponge, brush or a comb
  • 1 sliced lemon
Instructions

Start by boiling the water in a pot and add the lemon slices in it. Turn off the heat and cover the pot. Next, let it rest until the next morning and submerge your comb, brush or sponge in the mixture.

Now all you have to do is brush the hair of your pet and watch how the fleas are falling off.

Vinegar Spray in the House

If you want to prevent fleas from entering your home, try mixing some water and vinegar and add it to a spray bottle. Try using equal quantity of water and apple cider vinegar to get the best results. Plus, if you love the smell you can spray your furniture as well.

Consuming Apple Cider Vinegar for Removing Fleas

To control the fleas, try giving apple cider vinegar to your dog. After all, only a tablespoon of organic raw apple cider vinegar is enough to get the desired effects. If your pet doesn’t like the taste, you can always decrease the amount or mix it with water.

Besides, people believe that apple cider vinegar is a great solution for keeping fleas at bay.
